We've been asked to post more pictures of the finished product, well still in progress but getting to feel more like home each day.

Here is our new dining room table. We really love it and are anxious to sit with family and friends and enjoy it.

Visions of Pheasants dance thru our Heads

During the past week Zoey has decided that taking naps isn't all bad. We tried to stay up past our bedtime on Saturday night but zzzzzzzzzzzz

Sights of the Season

I've decorated the house and it's beginning to look a lot like XMas.

Give Thanks

Our first Thanksgiving in our new house. It was relaxing and it gave us time to get our dining room table set up and find some of pots and pans that had been packed away for months. There's a sneak peak of the tree in the background. Zoey was thankful to finally go hunting. She didn't plan on the bath afterwards. She's enjoying the hot water faucet out on the bistro.

Rick was able to get more ducks displayed in the cabin room.

We are all thankful for the new fence. It doesn't get in the way of the view.

Beautiful Fall Colors

This is where we stay during our vacations to Crystal Lake, WI. It's a beautiful area with a lot of trees and crystal clear water.

On Saturday night Rick's Mom and Sister came for a quick visit on their way to Arizona. We were excited to give them a tour. Rick's Mom came through in May before we had the roof on the house. It looks very different now. Rick has begun to unpack his ducks and shore birds.

Zoey's Perch

When we started this journey we struggled to communicate with our builder and others what our vision was for the office and great room. We came up with Zoey. We wanted the stain to be Zoey. It took a few tries but look and see if you agree that we did it!
We wondered how long it would be before Zoey figured out that the window seat would become her perch to see what's going on in the front yard. Nothing gets past her.

Here kitty-kitty

OK- so I admit I'm a city girl and I'm going to require some wilderness training. Rick and Zoey- well mostly Zoey, really enjoy watching the turkeys each day make the trip across our back yard.

The Parade of Homes ended on Sept 27. Our vendors had signs up and down both sides of the driveway. That evening we began the moving process.

Headed to the finish line!

We're nearly to the finish line. Here are our latest pictures to show all of the progress made in the last 7 days.

We're nearing the end

This is for our readers that are wondering what has been happening at the house. Well- we haven't been able to spend much time there while it's being painted. It's been a slow process but we're near the end. Here are the updates starting with the working fireplace in the bistro. Bistro Bath

The great room is finished being painted
Master bath vanity. The light bar isn't there because it doesn't fit (currently) - working to develop a "work around" approach

The dressing room is nearly completed. These doors will have mirrors so no excuse for panty lines!
Ahhh- last but not least, the master bath shower. . . .

Rainy Days!

We went to check on Indian Creek which runs along the edge of our property. It was very high and moving very fast. We're not in any danger but we didn't expect to see this much water.

The kitchen cabinets have the doors and drawers installed. The office desktop is installed. Master BR closet near completion.
My ironing board has a twist to it.

We're Baaack!

Rick and I are back from vacation and are in the (pardon the pun) home stretch of construction. Here is a sneak peek of what Rick and Zoey did during most of our time in Wisconsin. Lots of walking and swimming (no we haven't taught Zoey to play tennis- - yet)! I relaxed :o)

The kitchen cabinets are being installed and the room is really taking shape. This is the great room fireplace. You can take a peek at the paint color too.

The master shower. I can't wait for you to see the tile. Beautiful!

The master bedroom has its own special touches.

The dresser for my (what else) dressing room.
