The eyes say it all! Zoey was frustrated because Sophie was outside having fun with a stick. She pulled this thermometer down off the window to show her displeasure. She's known to be a bit of a bandit with my slippers or Rick's hat but this takes it to a whole new level....

Last Friday we left town to spend the weekend with our friends in Wisconsin. We weren't able to get a kennel reservation so we loaded up the girls and headed out. Bob and Gretchen have an 8 year old black lab named Cooper. He's very low key and played really well with Sophie (who is not). Cooper and Zoey have been buddies since her first trip to the lake at just 8 weeks old.
After having lunch in town we stopped to walk through a few shops. We found this huge flag hanging on the wall. When you get up close to the flag you can see that it is made up of a dozen or so pairs of blue jeans painted. I thought all of you D.I.Y. crafting folks would appreciate the creativity. God Bless America!!

Here is Rick with his kids and grandkids on February 8. Will and Andrew had a lot of fun watching the deer and ducks walking along the creek. Andrew was busy counting all of my chickens (roosters) that I collect throughout the house. Dana was flying out on Monday for her long trip back home to Zambia.
Throughout breakfast on Sunday morning Dana was explaining to Will what a photo bomb was. After a few tries he and Andrew were getting the hang of it. Some spilled milk and lots of laughs later here they are showing funny faces for their bombs. Andrew just 2 is soaking it all in, where as Will all of 5 1/2 just thinks it's funny to see grown ups make funny faces. Nemo the black lab at the bottom on the picture- just wants to take a nap.
After a quick trip to Minneapolis we drove back Saturday afternoon to prepare for our visit with the kids and grandkids. It was a rare opportunity to see Dana who was visiting the states from Zambia. They all spent the night with us on Saturday so by Sunday morning Grandpa was getting worn out. He and will were watching Thomas the Train and well zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I started my birthday with a road trip to Minneapolis to meet up with our friends Bob and Gretchen. We meet at a favorite pub for shore lunch and then Gretchen and I head out to get started on our shopping. Here we are ready to leave the pub. The guys head over to the hotel to get ready for the decoy show. It will be several more hours before we cross paths with them again!
On January 31st Debbie and I threw a baby shower for Elizabeth. It was a fun afternoon filled with family and friends celebrating Baby Blake. Some of us drank margaritas (others settled for caffeine free sodas), feasted on tacos and nachos and finished with cupcakes for desert. The afternoon went by so fast that this is the only picture I have. Sarah is normally in charge of taking pictures but she was busy preparing the craft table to decorate onesies.
Zoey and Sophie are typical siblings. They have more fun when they're with each other- they just aren't ready to admit it yet. I don't have many pictures of them together. Sophie is very assertive right now so Zoey just tries to stay out of her way. Sophie is at obedience class right now- talk about a loose cannon!
